LUO TRADITIONAL BURIAL FOR THE UNMARRIED by Ron Du-Preez

Unmarried women, or Migogo, were traditionally believed to be buried either behind their father's home, or behind their grandmother's home, if the family was still living there. Her head was to be buried facing away from the family home. Unmarried man was interred on the right side of her mother's home, either with a needle on his fingers or a thorn implanted between his middle toes. Their heads used to point in the direction of the door or in the general direction of the farmhouse. Married males were supposed to place the last soil on the tomb; it was considered bad luck for unmarried men to do so.

"No I did not killed her, she was the love of my life, my campus love, I loved her it is my feelings which killed her. " These were my words whenever the ghost of Gloria appeared to me. Photo courtesy of Facebook  When I was in campus, there was this lady I loved but she never loved back, I don't know. We met each other at the stairs and we exchanged our contacts. Day to day our conversation were about church and studies, I wanted to pretend to be Holy yet  in my inner heart I was thirsting for her. Gloria as her name suggests, she friend zone me. Those in Campus can testify that's the difficult zone to overcome. On this day Gloria called that she wanted us to talk. I was excited. I said  to myself how she has gained courage to open up. The location was pinned. On arrival, I found Gloria with a man who she introduced as Kwame and they were heading to abroad. So she just wanted to say goodbye to me before I opened up. It' was too late for me. Six years ...

MY LAST LESSON OF THE WEEK.

Image
My last class with Mr James by Ron Du-preez.  Every day when going to class, each and every member must have that memory thing either bad or good. My day began as usual. I was happy since it' was going to be my last class of that day. I walked enthusiastically to the class, wore a very nice clutchy suit knowing that I have a crush in that class. The first lesson was the acknowledgement of the editors. The interesting part of it was about public speaking where different speakers gave out their speeches about personal life experiences. Photo captured after the lesson What made me wondered was about a certain speaker who  confessed that she has never rejected a man in her life. The public speaking part made the last lesson to be interesting. Each student should at least be able to identify the catchy events which do happens in  every lesson. The End.
